==Governance==
The town belongs to the Stow [[Wards and electoral divisions of the United Kingdom|electoral ward]], which covers the parishes of Stow-on-the-Wold, [[Maugersbury]] and [[Swell, Gloucestershire|Swell]]. In 2010 these parishes had a total population of 2,594.
