In 1999 he acted alongside [[Adam Sandler]] in the comedy ''[[Big Daddy (1999 film)|Big Daddy]]'' (1999). Going into the 2000s, Buscemi continued to co-star in supporting roles. He played Seymour in the black comedy ''[[Ghost World (film)|Ghost World]]'' (2001) opposite [[Scarlett Johansson]] and [[Thora Birch]].
