==Personal life==
His relationship with Deftones lead singer and bandmate [[Chino Moreno]] has been reported to alternate between cordial and hostile at times. Since 2022, Carpenter has not toured with Deftones internationally due to fear of traveling, which he developed during the [[COVID-19]] pandemic.
