In its terms of use,<ref>{{cite web|url=https://slashdotmedia.com/terms-of-use/ |title=terms of use |publisher=Slashdot Media |access-date=July 28, 2013}}</ref> SourceForge states that its services are not available to users in countries on the sanction list of the U.S. [[Office of Foreign Assets Control]] (including Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan and Syria). Since 2008 the secure server used for making contributions to the site has blocked access from those countries. In January 2010, the site had blocked all access from those countries, including downloads.
