Since the revitalization began, many coffee shops, restaurants, and bars have opened in the downtown. The low [[cost of living]], [[Walkability|pedestrian-friendly]] downtown, and the construction of [[Loft apartment|loft-style apartments]] in older, architecturally significant buildings have attracted young professionals and artists. Many are individuals who grew up in Scranton, moved to big cities after high school and college, and decided to return to the area. Many buildings around the city that were once empty are currently being restored. Attractions include the [[Montage Mountain Ski Resort]], the [[Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins]], [[American Hockey League|AHL]] affiliate of the [[Pittsburgh Penguins]]; the [[Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders]], [[Triple-A baseball|AAA]] affiliate of the [[New York Yankees]], [[PNC Field]], and the [[Toyota Pavilion at Montage Mountain]] concert venue.
