==Legacy== [[File:Rube Foster plaque HOF.jpg|right|thumb|Foster's plaque at the [[National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum]]]] In 1981, Foster was elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame. He was the first representative of the Negro leagues elected as a pioneer or executive. Around 1999, the City of Chicago included Foster in its Chicago Tribute series of historical markers around the city. One of the stamps depicts Foster, along with his name and the words "NEGRO LEAGUES BASEBALL".
