Red River is located at the base of the Red River Ski Area, located 8,750 feet above [[sea level]] in the southern [[Rocky Mountains]]. Winter activities include [[skiing]], [[snowboarding]] and [[snowmobile|snowmobiling]]. In summertime, visitors can [[hiking|hike]], [[bicycle|bike]], [[fishing|fish]], and [[Horseback riding|ride horseback]] in the [[mountain]]s. The town is serviced by a bus system which provides access into the upper valley.
