The German Q-ship ''Schiff K'' heavily damaged the Russian submarine ''Gepard'' of the {{sclass|Bars|submarine|4||1915}} on 27 May 1916. The famous ''Möwe'' and ''Wolf'' were [[merchant raiders]], vessels designed to disrupt enemy trade and sink merchantmen, rather than attack enemy warships.
