== Current Presidential Overview == The current President of Rwanda is Paul Kagame, born in 1957. He is the 6th President of Rwanda<ref name=":3">{{Cite web|title = Profile: Rwanda's President Paul Kagame - BBC News|url = https://www.bbc.com/news/10479882|website = BBC News|access-date = 12 November 2015|language = en-GB}}</ref> and was elected in 2003. In 2007, the former president, Pasteur Bizimungu, was released from prison on a presidential pardon.
