==Wreck==
The wreck of ''Lady Elgin'' was discovered in 1989 off [[Highwood, Illinois|Highwood]], Illinois by Harry Zych.  Zych was awarded ownership in 1999 after a protracted legal battle.<ref>''Zych v.
