The music for ''Out of Africa'' was composed and conducted by veteran English composer [[John Barry (composer)|John Barry]]. The score included a number of outside pieces such as the second movement [[Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart|Mozart]]'s ''[[Clarinet Concerto (Mozart)|Clarinet Concerto]]'' and African traditional songs.
