In 1985, the National Liberation Front of Kurdistan ({{langx|ku-Latn|Eniye Rizgariye Navata Kurdistan}}, ERNK) was established by the PKK as its [[popular front]] wing, with the role of both creating propaganda for the party, and as an [[umbrella organization]] for PKK organizations in different segments of the Kurdish population, such as the [[peasantry]], workers, youth, and women.
