===Mongol Conquest (1238–1449)===
The north and centre of Crimea fell to the [[Mongol]] [[Golden Horde]], although the south coast was still controlled by the Christian [[Principality of Theodoro]] and [[Gazaria (Genoese colonies)|Genoese colonies]].
