===Acting=== Though Guthrie is best known for being a musician, singer, and composer, throughout the years he has also appeared as an actor in films and on television. His television appearances have included a broad range of programs from The Muppet Show (1979) to Politically Incorrect (1998). A rare dramatic film part was in the 1992 movie Roadside Prophets.
