The [[NED University of Engineering and Technology|Nadirshaw Edulji Dinshaw University of Engineering and Technology]] (NED), was founded in 1921, and is Pakistan's oldest institution of higher learning. The [[University of Karachi]], founded in 1951, is Pakistan's largest university with a student population of 24,000.
