===Hockey===
Staines Hockey Club was formed in 1890 and is one of the oldest [[field hockey|hockey]] clubs in the world. During its early years, the club had several international players among its members, who won gold medals at the [[Field hockey at the 1908 Summer Olympics|1908 Olympic Games]]. The club has been based at Worple Road since 1972 and the ground has four full-size [[field hockey pitch|hockey pitches]].
