===Utilities===
[[Severn Trent|Severn Trent Water]] is the company responsible for supplying fresh water to households and businesses in Nottingham, as well as the treatment of sewage. Severn Trent took over these services from the [[City of Nottingham Water Department]] in 1974.

The city has one of the largest [[district heating]] schemes in the UK, operated by EnviroEnergy Limited, which is wholly owned by Nottingham City Council.
