Medical services in Sheffield are provided by three NHS Foundation Trusts: *[[Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust]] *[[Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust]] *Sheffield Health and Social Care NHS Foundation Trust Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provides healthcare to people (primarily adults) throughout Sheffield and South Yorkshire. The trusts title includes the word 'teaching' because it undertakes training of medical students at the University of Sheffield and has strong links to Sheffield Hallam University as well. The trust has two campuses: The West Campus containing the [[Royal Hallamshire Hospital]], the Jessop Wing (maternity wing), [[Weston Park Hospital]] (specialist cancer treatment) and [[Charles Clifford Dental Hospital]]. The [[Northern General Hospital]] is the second 'campus' and is a large facility in the northern suburbs of Sheffield, containing the city's A&E department. These networks supply heat and hot water for many buildings throughout the city.
