In September 2019, it was announced that [[The CW]] and Warner Bros. Television were developing a continuation of the original series called ''Dark Shadows: Reincarnation'', written by [[Mark B. Perry]]. Perry would also serve as [[executive producer]] along with Amasia Entertainment's Michael Helfant, Bradley Gallo and Tracy Mercer, as well as Tracy and Cathy Curtis.
