For freight, Bakersfield is served directly by two [[Class I railroad|class-1 railroads]], [[Union Pacific Railroad|Union Pacific]], and [[BNSF Railway|BNSF]]. Passenger service is provided by the ''[[San Joaquins]]'' service, operated by [[Amtrak California]]. The [[Bakersfield station (Amtrak)|Bakersfield Amtrak station]] is located [[Downtown Bakersfield|downtown]], at the intersection of S Street and Truxtun Avenue.
