===Links with analysts=== In June 2006, prompted by a letter from [[Gary J. Aguirre]], the [[U.S. Senate Committee on the Judiciary|U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee]] began an investigation into the links between hedge funds and independent analysts. Aguirre was fired from his job with the SEC when, as lead investigator of [[insider trading]] allegations against [[Pequot Capital Management]], he tried to interview [[John J.
