On 9 May 2019, at Bromley Magistrates Court, Beckham was banned from driving for six months. He previously pleaded guilty to using a mobile phone while driving on 21 November 2018. The court heard he was photographed by a member of the public holding a phone as he drove in "slowly moving" traffic. Beckham received six points on his licence, to add to the six he already had for previous speeding matters. In 2015, a Portuguese company associated with Beckham's spokesman had their server hacked which contained personal emails from Beckham. Germany's ''Der Spiegel'' and France's ''L'Equipe'' published details of the hack, reporting how Beckham was angry at not being granted a knighthood in 2013, and that the [[Honours Committee]] was concerned about his tax affairs due to input from UK government department [[HM_Revenue_and_Customs|HMRC]].
