The role of [[insulin resistance]] in the pathogenesis of psoriasis is under investigation. Preliminary research has suggested that [[antioxidant]]s such as [[polyphenol]]s may have beneficial effects on the inflammation characteristic of psoriasis.<ref name="Dubois2013"/>
