The [[Guildford Spectrum|Spectrum Leisure Centre]] opened in 1993 and replaced the Bedford Road Sports Centre, which closed at the same time.<ref name=Newman_200_pp169-170/> Located on the northern side of Stoke Park, it offers four swimming pools, including a 25-metre lane pool and a leisure pool with eight [[water slide]]s. [[Guildford Lido]], also in Stoke Park, is an [[Olympic-size swimming pool|Olympic-size]], 50-metre outdoor, heated swimming pool. It opened in 1933, and was built as part of a scheme to provide jobs for local workers during the [[Great Depression in the United Kingdom|Great Depression]].<ref>{{harvnb|Rose|Parke|2015|loc=Fig. 8}}</ref> It was rebuilt in 1989 and relined in 2002.<ref>{{harvnb|Hutchinson|2009|p=53}}</ref>

The [[Surrey Sports Park]], owned by the University of Surrey, opened in 2010 and on the Manor Park campus to the west of the town.
