====Ethiopia====
The Ethiopians are among the first literate people in the world, having written, read, and created manuscripts in the ancient [[Ge'ez language]] (an [[Amharic language]]) since the 2nd century CE.<ref name="Weninger-2011" /> All boys learned to read the [[Psalms]] around the age of 7.
