Leatherhead has been mentioned in a number of films and television programmes. The film ''[[I Want Candy (film)|I Want Candy]]'', released in March 2007, is partly set in the town. [[Monty Python's Flying Circus]] refers to Leatherhead in the "Red Indian in Theatre" sketch.
