* 1923 saw ''[[The Wandering Jew (1923 film)|The Wandering Jew]]'', a British [[silent film]] by [[Maurice Elvey]] from the basis of [[E. Temple Thurston]]'s play, starring [[Matheson Lang]]. The play had been produced both in Twickenham, [[London]] and on [[Broadway theatre|Broadway]] in 1921, the latter co-produced by [[David Belasco]].
