Gardner's multiple intelligences theory recognises various forms of intelligence, namely spatial, linguistic, logical-mathematical, bodily-kinesthetic, musical, interpersonal, intrapersonal, naturalistic.<ref>{{Cite journal|last=Denig|first=S. Areas of competence may be reinforcing, but also mutually exclusive.
