In ''The White Goddess'', Graves proposed a hypothetical [[Gauls|Gallic]] tree goddess, Druantia, who has become somewhat popular with contemporary [[Paganism (contemporary)|Neopagans]]. Druantia is an archetype of the eternal mother as seen in the [[evergreen]] boughs.
