During peak hours, the two trains per hour London Blackfriars to Sevenoaks service (from the table above) is extended through the 'core section' to/from [[Welwyn Garden City railway station|Welwyn Garden City]] (though a few services originate at Finsbury Park), with extra calls at City Thameslink, Farringdon, St Pancras International, Finsbury Park, [[New Southgate railway station|New Southgate]], [[Oakleigh Park railway station|Oakleigh Park]], [[New Barnet railway station|New Barnet]], [[Potters Bar railway station|Potters Bar]] and [[Hatfield railway station|Hatfield]] only.<ref name="7oaks" /><ref>{{Cite web |title=B: Stevenage, Hertford North, Enfield Chase, Welwyn Garden City, Hatfield and Potters Bar to London |url=https://timetables.thameslinkrailway.com/TL/#/timetables/1763/Table%20B}}</ref>

As well as these services, during peak hours, several trains in each direction (approximately two trains per hour) run to/from [[Orpington railway station|Orpington]] (originating/terminating at either London Blackfriars, Luton, West Hampstead Thameslink or Kentish Town), all calling at [[Petts Wood railway station|Petts Wood]] in lieu of stations from St Mary Cray to Bat & Ball.<ref name="7oaks" />
