In the 2020 census Sugar Hill had a population of 25,076, with 8,271 households in the city. The [[population density]] was {{convert|2,253.8|PD/sqmi|PD/sqkm}}. In 2020, 27.4% of people were under 18. The median income for a household in the city was $89,583, and the median income for a family was $75,473. Males had a median income of $53,890 versus $37,991 for females.
