During prophase in [[Cell (biology)|animal cells]], [[centrosome]]s move far enough apart to be resolved using a [[light microscope]].<ref name=":2" /> [[Microtubule]] activity in each [[centrosome]] is increased due to recruitment of [[Tubulin#γ-Tubulin|γ-tubulin]].
