==Judicial branch== {{Further|Judiciary of Kenya}} The [[Judiciary of Kenya|Kenyan judiciary]] is divided into Superior Courts and Subordinate Courts.<ref>Article 162, the Constitution of Kenya 2010</ref> The judiciary is headed by the [[Chief Justice of Kenya|Chief Justice]] who is also the president of the [[Supreme Court of Kenya|Supreme Court]]. Superior Courts consist of: the Supreme Court, the Court of Appeal and the High Court. Supreme Court judges, [[High Court (Kenya)|High Court]] judges, and judges of the [[Court of Appeal of Kenya|Court of Appeal]] (no associate judges) appointed by an independent [[Judicial Service Commission (Kenya)|Judicial Service Commission]].
