==Post-World War II domestic policies== After the war, he was Minister of Foreign Affairs under the subsequent ministers [[Achille Van Acker]] and [[Camille Huysmans]]. He was twice appointed Prime Minister as well, first from 13 to 31 March 1946, the shortest government in Belgian history, and again from March 1947 to August 1949. During his last government, two important pieces of housing legislation were enacted.
