In [[:fr:Sébastien Roch, roman d'Octave Mirbeau|''Sébastien Roch'']] (1890) (English translation: ''[[Sébastien Roch (novel)|Sébastien Roch]]'', 2000), Mirbeau purged the traumatic effects of his experience as a student at a [[Jesuits]] school in [[Vannes]].
