The population density was {{convert|1,560.0|PD/sqmi|PD/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}. The 14,921 housing units averaged 525.6 per square mile (202.9/km{{sup|2}}). The [[Race (United States Census)|racial makeup]] of the city was 81.6% White, 3.4% African American, 0.7% Native American, 4.0% Asian, 6.0% from other races, and 4.3% from two or more races. Hispanics or Latinos of any race were 17.5% of the population.

Of the 14,320 households, 47.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 70.2% were married couples living together, 8.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 18.3% were not families.
