She was a daughter of [[Jacopo Orsini, Lord of Monterotondo|Giacomo Orsini]], Lord of [[Monterotondo]] and [[Bracciano]] by his wife and cousin Maddalena Orsini.

Clarice and Lorenzo had 10 children, all except Contessina Antonia born in Florence:

Lorenzo adopted his nephew [[Giulio di Giuliano de' Medici]] (1478–1534), the illegitimate son of his slain brother [[Giuliano di Piero de' Medici|Giuliano]].
