Some [[Modern paganism|neopagans]] have adopted the name and date of Lammas, making it one of the harvest festivals in their [[Wheel of the Year]]. Other neopagans use the Gaelic name ''[[Lughnasa]]''. It is the first of the three autumn festivals, the others being the [[Autumn equinox (Northern Hemisphere)|autumn equinox]] and [[Samhain]].
