== Consulate and early Empire == Junot only arrived in France on 14 June 1800, the day of Bonaparte's victory at the [[Battle of Marengo]].<ref name="FN" /> That year, Junot married [[Laure Junot, Duchess of Abrantès|Laure Martin de Permond]], a long-time friend of the Bonapartes.
