Greeley is located in the Pottawatomie Valley near the confluence of the North Fork and South Fork of [[Pottawatomie Creek]].

Several of Greeley's east–west streets are named for Free Staters who were [[Jayhawker]]s or were involved in Territorial government during the [[Bleeding Kansas]] era.

* Cochran Street - Named for Benjamin L. The climate in this area is characterized by hot, humid summers and generally mild to cool winters.  According to the [[Köppen Climate Classification]] system, Greeley has a [[humid subtropical climate]], abbreviated "Cfa" on climate maps.
