The racial makeup of the city was 95.5% [[White Americans|White]] (5,577 people), 0.5% [[African Americans|African American]] (30), 1.0% [[Native Americans in the United States|Native American]] (52), 0.6% [[Asian Americans|Asian]] (37), 0.0% [[Pacific Islander Americans|Pacific Islander]] (3), and 2.3% from two or more races (429). Those of Hispanic or Latino origin made up 14.7% (658) of the population.<ref name=":0" />
