The [[population density]] was {{convert|1441.3|/sqmi|/km2|1}}. There were 264 housing units at an average density of {{convert|573.9|/sqmi|/km2|1}}. The racial make-up of the town was 80.5% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 11.8% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], 0.5% [[Asian (U.S. Census)|Asian]], 0.3% [[Race (U.S. Census)|Pacific Islander]], 4.8% from [[Race (U.S. Census)|other races]] and 2.1% from two or more races. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 7.1% of the population.

The average household size was 2.80 and the average family size was 3.19.

The median age was 35.4 years. 27.1% of residents were under the age of 18, 9.8% were between the ages of 18 and 24, 28.2% were from 25 to 44, 22.2% were from 45 to 64 and 12.8% were 65 years of age or older. The sex make-up of the town was 48.1% male and 51.9% female.

The population density was {{convert|1,054.6|/sqmi|/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}. There were 212 housing units at an average density of {{convert|471.7|/sqmi|/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}. The racial make-up of the town was 74.47% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 23.21% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], 1.05% from [[Race (United States Census)|other races]] and 1.27% from two or more races. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 4.43% of the population.
