[[Jerry Pournelle]] in February 1989 described the Z88 as "the most portable computer I've ever seen", much more so that his [[Zenith SupersPort]] 286. He said that the screen was small but readable, and thought that his $894 estimate for a minimum configuration was "not a ''lot'' of money for good hardware".
