In 1912, the rapidly expanding<ref>{{Cite web|url=https://brighamcityhistory.org/education/box-elder-school-district/|title=Box Elder School District|date=2015-11-06|website=Brigham City History Project|language=en-US|access-date=2020-03-11}}</ref> Box Elder School District constructed a six-room<ref>{{Cite book|last=Skidmore|first=Charles H.|url=https://books.google.com/books?id=ToTfAAAAMAAJ&q=elementary|title=Administration and Supervision in the Box Elder School District|date=1921|publisher=Utah, Board of Education|language=en}}</ref> elementary school in Bear River City. The building underwent a seven-classroom addition in 1999 before remodeling again in 2007.<ref>{{Cite web|url=https://brighamcityhistory.org/education/box-elder-schools-construction/|title=Box Elder Schools Construction|date=2015-11-06|website=Brigham City History Project|language=en-US|access-date=2020-03-11}}</ref> The latest remodeling to the school added new classrooms (for the fifth graders who had been in portables), a new bathroom, and a new library. Century Elementary holds approximately 800 students.
