* [[1952 Egyptian revolution]]: A group of army officers led by [[Mohammed Naguib]] and [[Gamal Abdel Nasser]] overthrew [[King of Egypt|King]] [[Farouk of Egypt|Farouk]] and the [[Muhammad Ali dynasty|Muhammad Ali Dynasty]] in July 1952.
* On March 10, 1952, [[Fulgencio Batista]] led a bloodless [[1952 Cuban coup d'état|coup]] to topple the democratically elected government in [[Cuba]].
* [[1953 Iranian coup d'état]]: In August 1953, a coup jointly led by the United States and United Kingdom and codenamed Operation Ajax, overthrew Prime Minister [[Mohammed Mosaddeq]].
