Again [[London]] defends itself and the Vikings move elsewhere, plundering [[Wessex]], [[Mercia]] and [[Kingdom of Northumbria|Northumbria]]. King [[Æthelred the Unready]] sends his sons [[Edward the Confessor|Edward]] and [[Alfred Aetheling|Alfred]] to [[Duchy of Normandy|Normandy]].
