A minor storyline of the 1986 film ''[[Dogs in Space]]'' is an attempt by characters of the [[Melbourne, Australia|Melbourne]] household to fabricate pieces of Skylab and win a radio station's competition to locate debris from the space station as it fell to earth in Australia.

The documentary ''[[Searching for Skylab]]'' was released online in March 2019.
