[[Joshua Sijuwade]] argues that God allows evil in the world in order to turn certain individuals into exemplars, thus letting them contribute towards goodness of our world:{{blockquote|text=God having allowed a certain class of individuals to suffer—namely, the exemplary sufferers—would be justified by them being presented with the opportunity to transform into exemplars, and thus make a great contribution to the world being a good world.
