Hotlines, chat lines, and telephone interviews offer immediate, emergency support for those experiencing PPD. However, hotlines can lack cultural competency which is crucial in quality healthcare, specifically for people of color. Calling the police or 911, specifically for mental health crises, is dangerous for many people of color. Culturally and structurally competent emergency hotlines are a huge need in PPD care.<ref name="Khúc-2019" />
