The [[FIFA World Cup mascots|official mascot]] of this World Cup was {{lang|es|[[Naranjito]]|i=no}}, a male anthropomorphised [[orange (fruit)|orange]], a typical fruit in Spain, wearing the kit of the host's [[Spain men's national football team|national team]]. It was designed by José María Martín and María Dolores Salto from the marketing agency {{lang|es|Publicidad Bellido|i=no}}.
